An emergency light is a lighting device with a battery backup that switches on automatically when a building experiences a power outage. Cold weather lights include a thermostatic battery heater which maintains the battery strength and lifespan in temperatures between -4° F (-20° C) and -40° F (-40° C) depending on the model you choose.
