Remote heads are lights used in conjunction with a remote capable emergency lights or exit sign. Essentially, remote emergency light heads offer more than one backup lighting location, without having to add additional lighting systems. The result is a flexible system with low cost and maintenance.

A multifaceted reflector (often abbreviated MR) light bulb is a reflector housing format for halogen as well as some LED and fluorescent lamps. MR lamps were originally designed for use in slide projectors, but see use in residential lighting and retail lighting as well.

A damp location is an interior location normally subject to dampness or condensation, or an exterior location protected from weather and not subject to saturation with water. Damp locations include over bathtubs, indoor pools, covered porches, and like locations.
