Sealed lead acid batteries are sometimes referred to as VRLA (valve regulated lead acid) and there are two primary types AGM and Gel. We offer both AGM and Gel batteries, each has its advantages over the other depending on the specific application. SLA batteries usually last between 3 to 5 years with typical usage. The optimum operating temperature for the lead-acid battery is 25°C (77°F). Elevated temperature reduces longevity. As a guideline, every 8°C (15°F) rise in temperature cuts the battery life in half.

Some of the most popular chemistries are sealed lead acid (SLA), lithium ion (Li-ion), and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4). Each chemistry has its own advantages and disadvantages, such as weight, lifespan, performance, and safety. For example, SLA batteries are heavy and have a short cycle life, but they are cheap and easy to maintain. Li-ion batteries are light and have a high energy density, but they are expensive and prone to overheating. LiFePO4 batteries are stable and have a long cycle life, but they are costly and have a lower voltage than other lithium batteries.
